The DISC System and What It Means

 

The DISC system is a widely used tool for measuring personality and behavioural styles. It is based on the work of psychologist William Moulton Marston, who identified four different behavioural traits: dominance, influence, steadiness and conscientiousness.

 

The DISC system measures these four traits and assigns a score to each one, which can then be used to create a profile of the individual's personality.

The four behavioural traits measured by the DISC system are as follows:

Dominance

 

This trait measures the individual's level of assertiveness and control

Influence


This trait measures the
individual level of sociability and ability to persu
ade others

Steadiness


This trait measures the
individual level of patience
and stability

Compliance


This trait measures the
individual level of attention to detail and adherence to rules

All our tests are as free as possible from gender and cultural bias, enabling you to ensure an objective assessment is made for each candidate.

 

The DISC test is a self-assessment questionnaire that is completed online and typically takes around 20-30 minutes to complete.  The Psychometric Profile test consists of a series of statements that the individual must rate based on how well they describe their behaviour. The results of the test are then analysed and used to create a psychometric profile of the individual.
