This GHS safety test evaluates a candidate’s ability to understand and apply the Globally Harmonised System of Classification and Labelling Chemicals (GHS) at their workplace to ensure safe practices.
Hundreds of thousands of workers across the world regularly use hazardous substances, such as flammable liquids, chemicals, and gasses at their workplace. To work safely with these substances, they need a strong understanding of GHS classification and labelling, as well as the ability to read and apply information provided in a Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Without this understanding, workers may inadvertently expose themselves, their co-workers, and the environment to hazards, and may not be able to react appropriately in emergencies.
This GHS Safety test evaluates candidates’ abilities to:
- Interpret GHS-compliant materials, including Safety Data Sheets
- Create a safe working environment
- Safely store, transport and dispose of chemicals
- Respond appropriately to accidents, such as exposure and accidental release
Candidates who perform well on this test will have a good understanding of GHS-compliant materials, such as the SDS and labels, and will be able to apply that understanding to mitigate the associated risks to them and the environment when dealing with chemical products.
